Monday Motivation: A Story of Perseverance and Growth
I recently visited Nand Niwas, a residence for senior citizens in Igatpuri, Maharashtra. The gentleman beside me in this picture is a 90-year-old doctor with an extraordinary story of resilience and determination.
In 2001, he lost everything in the Bhuj Earthquake. Over the next five years, he painstakingly rebuilt his life from scratch.
Few years ago, he ventured into equity markets, and eventually transitioned to trading in derivatives.
He lost money.
But he didn’t give up.
Once again, he rebuilt everything in five years. He calls it “paying tuition fees to the market.”
Determined to master his craft, he immersed himself in learning about options. From Theta decay to volatility, Statistical Arbitrage—you name it, and he knows it.
For the past five years, his discipline and knowledge have enabled him to earn a steady income. When I asked him his biggest takeaway from trading options, he shared a profound insight:
“Don’t listen to anyone, just be RUTHLESSLY DISCIPLINED.”
Wise words indeed. His story is a testament to the fact that learning and growth have no age limit. The power of perseverance is truly unimaginable!
Here’s to starting the week inspired and disciplined! 💪
