My favourite line is: “Unsuccessful men with high intelligence is a cliché.”
This holds true everywhere, every time, and in all types of businesses. It was true 1,000 years ago, it is true now, and it will be true eternally.
When you have high intelligence, your mind can be your greatest enemy. A highly logical mind is exceptional at generating new ideas, analyzing situations like a math problem, and finding alternatives for success. However, that same logical mind is also adept at creating excuses. Because it works so quickly, knowledgeable people often avoid taking massive action. Their minds find reasons to convince them not to take risks. It’s a blessing and a curse!
Human beings are wired for survival, not for success. To achieve success, you need faith. There will be many situations where your intelligence and logic won’t work. That’s where faith comes in. Faith is blind. Faith is saying, “To hell with this, I’m going to jump and see what happens.”
And that’s where the magic happens!
It’s better to use your intelligence after you jump, not before. Otherwise, you won’t jump. 🙂
